White’s Residential & Family Services, one of Indiana’s oldest and largest nonprofit social services agencies, announced the hiring of Michael Horn as Chief Operations Officer and General Counsel. Horn’s extensive skill set spanning a variety of professional backgrounds will provide comprehensive support as White’s continues to deliver superior care to adolescents in the juvenile justice system, children and families in the foster care system, and families in need of specialized intervention.
“Due to the growth of White’s programs, strategic initiatives, and the changing landscape of treatment services, White’s Board of Directors identified a need for a Chief Operations Officer,” said Damon Seacott, White’s Residential & Family Services’ Board President. “We are pleased to welcome Michael Horn into this position at White’s.”
Horn recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance, Privacy and Risk Officer for Redimed and Lutheran Medical Group. He began his career as a private attorney in 2007 after completing his Juris Doctorate at Indiana University. In 2011, Michael was called away from private practice as an attorney, accepting a position as Director of Charitable Products and Church Loans at Everence Financial. He also held various Compliance Roles at Zimmer Biomet.
“Each and every day at White’s, we are committed to providing hope and transformation to the lives of children, teens, and families with our continuum of care. Michael will be a valuable asset to White’s mission,” said CEO Ron Evans. “We are confident his abilities will enhance our services moving forward.”
In his new role as the Chief Operations Officer and General Counsel, Horn will be responsible for oversight of Compliance and Quality Assurance, Information Technology, and Support Services. Horn’s leadership and direction of staff along with his capacity to help guide White’s strategically will be a huge asset as White’s continues to navigate a complex and changing field.
