Child Abuse Prevention Month

Have you seen blue pinwheel gardens around the state?

Those pinwheels help bring awareness to the reality of child abuse. Every child deserves a great childhood. Today and every day – it is up to all of us to help prevent abuse and show love to children.

Here’s a quick list of how you can get involved:

  • Volunteer at a local school or library.
  • Coach a local youth recreational team.
  • Share about Child Abuse Prevention with friends and family, either by word of mouth or through social media.
  • Lead a parent support group.
  • Become a foster parent.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and there’s a role for everyone in the community. You can help prevent child abuse and neglect by helping parents be the best moms and dads they can be.
