Become a Foster Parent With more than 20,000 substantiated cases of abuse and neglect in Indiana each and every year, the need for safe, loving homes is very real.  There are in fact more hurting children in need of a home than there are homes available.
	"My mission field is in my home," - Foster Parent, Rayme Swan With his parents being foster parents, Rayme Swan grew up sharing his life with other children in need.  Today he and his wife, Heather, are foster parents with White's.  "My mission field is in my home," said Rayme.  "I'm going to do the best I can for them.  That's what foster parenting is to me. I love the kids.  They're what we do this for.  It's too bad that more people won't open up their homes.  There's so many kids out there that need good role models and good parents." 	According to Cindy Swan, Rayme's mother and White's foster parent, "This is what God designed me for.  I used to think I wanted to be a nurse, but I'm nursing these kids back to health.  I have a poster board of hundreds of pictures of foster kids.  Some of them still call.  It's pretty rewarding." Cindy and Jim are parents of five children, two of whom are still at home.  They have cared for more than 150 children over the years.
